Anjali Katare graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX in Master of Urban Planning and has more than 4 years of experience in Environmental Planning and Economics. She is a fun and easygoing person, but very disciplined in her work life. She believes in continuously up-skilling as we live in a rapidly changing world.

Consulting cities for Comprehensive Plan development, update & community engagement process.

Writing comprehensive plan drafts, developing & preparing visual graphics and presentations, and assisting with stakeholder management.

Supervising interns and other staff for long-range planning projects, focusing on housing, economic development, and transportation.

Conducting re-alignment & spatial analysis for resilience efforts in coordination.

Led a team of 8 students to develop the Comprehensive Plan for Hitchcock, TX focusing on land-use, housing, transportation planning and community resilience.

Developed creative solutions derived from demographic and socio-economic analysis and scenario analysis, prepared land-use & zoning plan, spearheaded community engagement presentations and workshops.

Prepared GIS database and State of Community reports for Hitchcock and Rockport in Texas.

Led a team of 4 people to conduct 300+ field surveys and interviews. Co-authored report funded by NSF grant.

• G5A Foundation cityLAB, Mumbai, India- Research Assistant

Consulted on Waste Management Plan for the City of Mumbai- documented, analyzed, and structured existing cultural influences and vernacular practices to develop a community led plan using CAD, GIS and Adobe Suite.

Produced select infographics, sketches, and graphic elements for the report.

Enabled and executed qualitative research and optimized waste transportation routes.

Performed stakeholder engagement for development of Community-led Sustainable Management Plan.

Improved citizen participation process with 67% overall citizen satisfaction (based on post-survey).

• Soyuz Talib Architects Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, India- Junior Architect

Assisted in developing project estimate, permit set drawings, and generating 5D design for high rise residential and commercial projects. Created the close out documents and assisted with QA/QC processes.

Conducted site visits & directed on-site coordination for high-rise residential and mixed-use projects with a work force of 50 workers, maintaining daily progress reports.

Produced concept design, site analysis, change orders, construction drawings & site inspections for 15+ projects.

Successfully administered and delegated material procurement & allocation of materials for residential and commercial high-rise projects amounting to $300K.
