Vastukul Fellowship Unveiled

Embark on a profound journey with the Vastukul Fellowship—a transformative six-month program that unfolds across four pivotal dimensions, curated to ensure an enriching and holistic experience.

Vastukul Fellows devote six impactful months—to live and work in the very heart of grassroots communities. In rural or peri-urban areas, fellows become catalysts for positive change, fostering sustainable development.

Fellows get to elevate their skills through 30 days of immersive training, spanning three segments of seven days each at the beginning, middle, and end. The training is a blend of online and offline modules, will host seasonal leaders in architecture and social development, and aims to equips fellows with the tools to navigate challenges and seize opportunities.

Fellows work closely with a cohort of 35 young candidates over three months in the vibrant state of Haryana. Through a blend of lectures, workshops, and on-site visits, fellows train candidates with focus on understanding the in-demand skills of architecture and construction. 

 Each fellow gains access to a diverse pool of mentors, seasoned experts, facilitators and experienced professionals.

Structure of Vastukul Fellowship

The Vastukul Fellowship unfolds as a 6-month immersive program, designed for the brightest minds eager to delve into the intersection of social development and architecture.

  • After final selection, fellows receive the course module and schedule.
  • Induction call with the Vastukul team for program insights.
  • Training sessions with experienced mentors in teaching and architecture.
  • Fellows develop detailed course modules and subjects before arriving at the site.
  • Reporting by March 8, 2024, with a physical induction meeting on March 8-10, 2024.
  • Fellowship officially commences on March 11, 2024, allowing time for settling in and course preparation.
  • Full-time on-site role for Architect/Civil Engineer in Haryana near Gurugram.
  • Development of academic content and delivery of architecture and construction course lectures.
  • Conducting lectures, workshops, and site visits for a batch of 35 youth candidates over 3 months.
  • Mentoring and guiding rural youth in Haryana in their academic and professional growth.
  • Documenting observations, experiences, and insights.
  • 3 month long batch with 30-35 students.
  • Morning lectures for 4 hours, 5 days a week, with workshops or doubt-clearing sessions on Saturdays.
